We all have relationships that have ended in our lives and many reasons why these relationships have ended.
Some people have a pattern of relationships that have ended either in the same way or for the same reason and they want to explore why this is.
Sometimes a relationship will end in a way that leaves the person feeling out of control or resentful.
HOW CAN COUNSELLING HELP WITH FAILED RELATIONSHIPS?
Counselling can help someone to explore their previous or current relationships in order to understand any patterns to the relationships, including the reasons why they choose the partners that they do.
When working with someone who seeks counselling for failed relationships I will encourage them to look at the way in which their relationships have ended and help them to identify any links between the endings.
By helping them to understand these links they may be able to find ways in which they can regain control over their relationships and change any aspect of their life that may be contributing to the failed relationships.
I can also help them to explore the painful emotions that are linked to the ending of a relationship in order to allow them to move forward with their life.
